Messi wins it late for Inter Miami in Boston
Lionel Messi scored the 83rd-minute winner as Inter Miami beat New England 2-1 and climbed past the Revolution into second in the East.
For fantasy squads, Messi keeps delivering elite captaincy value: he scored the decisive goal in the 83rd minute, his league-leading 26th, and played his 28th start for Inter Miami. That matters because Kickbase rewards every 10 minutes played, so a nailed 90-minute attacker with end-product is still the safest premium asset. Risk: Low. Time horizon: Long-term. Verdict: Hold or buy.
Fantasy Analysis
Messi’s value is not just the goal: a confirmed start plus late decisive output gives him both floor and ceiling in Kickbase. Because scoring is built on 10-minute blocks, his regular 90-minute usage protects his return even when he doesn’t score early. There is no minutes warning here, so the fantasy play is to keep him locked in.
