Messi stays at Inter Miami, exit rumors denied
Fabrizio Romano says Lionel Messi is staying at Inter Miami, with no club change planned and his MLS contract running through 2028.
For fantasy managers, Lionel Messi (FWD, Inter Miami) is as secure as they come: Romano says he is not considering a move, with no talks for another club and a contract through 2028. He has 25 MLS goals and 12 assists this season, so his value remains tied to elite production, and full-match minutes matter because Kickbase rewards every 10-minute block. Risk: Low. Long-term. Hold or buy.
Fantasy Analysis
Messi's transfer noise should not change your build: his value is driven by elite output, not speculative movement. Because Kickbase scores in 10-minute blocks, even a slight drop in minutes would matter, but this report points to stability at Inter Miami through 2028. If he fits your budget, he remains a premium captaincy-type hold.
