Crew and Charlotte headline Matchday 33 honors
Columbus and Charlotte were central to Team of the Matchday, with Santiago Rodríguez, Patrick Schulte and Liel Abada delivering decisive fantasy hauls.
For fantasy managers, Matchday 33 was all about Columbus and Charlotte. Santiago Rodríguez (MID, Columbus Crew) posted 1 goal and 1 assist, Patrick Schulte (GK, Columbus Crew) made seven saves, and Liel Abada (FWD, Charlotte FC) scored a bench hat trick in a 4-0 win. Those are premium Kickbase outputs because saves, goals and assists all stack quickly across 10-minute blocks. Verdict: hold or buy into the hot hand.
Fantasy Analysis
The key fantasy signal here is form, not injury news: Santiago Rodríguez and Patrick Schulte just posted elite returns for Columbus, while Liel Abada showed bench-scoring upside for Charlotte. In Kickbase, Schulte's seven saves and Abada's hat trick matter because goalkeeper and attacking output can swing a matchday even without full 90-minute security. Use this as a short-term form check rather than a long-term role change.
