Abada’s cameo boosts Charlotte’s attack
Liel Abada came off the bench to score a rapid hat-trick as Charlotte beat Montreal 4-0 and clinched a playoff spot.
For fantasy squads, Liel Abada’s 18-minute hat-trick is a reminder that Charlotte have explosive attacking depth, but his bench start shows minutes are not locked. He still delivered because Kickbase rewards decisive bursts, yet sub appearances can cap total points if the coach keeps using Allan Saint-Maximin ahead of him. Risk: Medium. Monitor for starting role.
Fantasy Analysis
Abada’s output is elite when he gets on the pitch, but the key fantasy issue is whether Dean Smith keeps starting Allan Saint-Maximin ahead of him. In Kickbase, a sub who only plays late can still swing a match, yet he loses all the accumulation that comes from 90-minute involvement. Wait for lineup clarity before buying.
